I first needed this when I was trying to print a double-sided document on a printer that didn't support automatic duplex. The workaround was simple in theory: print odd pages, flip the paper, print even pages. But doing that from a PDF without the right tool was surprisingly annoying until I found an odd/even extractor.
This tool splits any PDF into two logical halves — pages 1, 3, 5, 7… (odd) and pages 2, 4, 6, 8… (even). You choose which set you want and download that as a new PDF. It sounds niche until you run into one of the situations below, and then it becomes exactly what you needed.
Everything runs in your browser. No file goes anywhere. No account. No limits. Upload, choose odd or even, download. That's the whole thing.

Takes about 20 seconds start to finish:
Click the upload area or drag your PDF file onto it. The tool immediately shows you the page count.
Click the Odd Pages or Even Pages button. A preview shows exactly which pages will be extracted.
Hit the button. Processing happens locally in your browser — no server involved, no waiting for uploads.
Click Download. Your extracted PDF saves to your device with a clear filename like "document-odd.pdf".
Your printer doesn't do two-sided automatically. Extract odd pages, print them, flip the stack, extract even pages, print again. Works every time.
Some older scanners scan both sides of each sheet into alternating pages. Odd pages = front sides, even pages = back sides. This separates them cleanly.
When scanning a book by photographing left pages then right pages separately, you end up with an interleaved PDF. Extract odd and even separately before reordering.
Some reports are laid out so that odd-numbered pages cover Topic A and even-numbered pages cover Topic B. Extracting each set gives clean separate documents.
I've seen accounting firms separate front/back pages of countersigned contracts into separate files for their record system. This does it in 3 seconds.
Teachers sometimes lay out question papers with questions on odd pages and answer spaces on even pages, so they can distribute just the questions to students.
