Amazon gives you a limited window to file claims for discrepancies — typically 60 days from the removal order completion date. Without documentation, you have nothing to base a claim on.
• Photograph everything on arrival: Before you open or process returned units, photograph the boxes as they arrive. Then photograph the condition of each item as you unpack. This evidence, combined with your removal order documentation, is what you need if Amazon sends back fewer units than expected or if items are damaged in transit back to you.
• Consider removal timing carefully: Removal orders submitted during peak FBA periods (October–December) can take 45+ days.
