This tool supports all common payment methods with one click โ€” Cash, Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer, Cheque, Online Payment, or a custom method you type yourself. The payment method appears prominently on the receipt so there is no ambiguity about how the transaction was settled.

For bank transfers, you can also add the bank or wallet name and a transaction reference ID โ€” useful when the customer wants proof that their specific transfer has been acknowledged. For card payments, showing the last four digits or the card type in the reference field is common practice.

The receipt also handles partial payments properly. If the customer has paid a deposit or an instalment, enter the amount paid and the receipt will automatically show both the total, the amount received, and the remaining balance due. If the full amount has been paid, it shows a clear "PAID IN FULL" marking.

A receipt is not just a payment confirmation โ€” in many countries it is also a legal tax document. Getting the tax details right matters, and the requirements vary considerably between countries.

In the UAE, a valid VAT receipt must include both the supplier's TRN (Tax Registration Number) and the customer's TRN for B2B transactions. In India, a tax invoice must include the GSTIN of both the seller and buyer. In the UK, a VAT receipt must show your VAT Registration Number. In Germany, your USt-IdNr. must appear. In Australia, your ABN (Australian Business Number) is required on all tax invoices above AUD 82.50.
